During my recent stay at Barkly Backpackers in St Kilda, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary experiences on offer. The communal kitchen was well-equipped, allowing guests to prepare their meals easily. I took the opportunity to chat with fellow travelers and cooked a delightful dinner alongside a few new friends. One of the highlights was the complimentary rooftop barbecue organized by the staff, where I enjoyed great food while mingling in a friendly atmosphere-a perfect way to unwind after a day exploring nearby Luna Park and the beach. While breakfast was simple and required an early start to snag some food, the morning setup was handled by the owner, who exuded a welcoming vibe. The close proximity to various eateries, like Machi Restaurant and Harpers Kitchen, further enriched my experience. Barkly Backpackers offers a relaxed and communal setting, making it a unique stop for food and travel enthusiasts.
